The alarm goes off and its time to start the coffee water before I grab a quick shower. In the living room, I inevitably find one of my children curled up on the couch. Wide awake. I pour the water in the coffee press and countdown the minutes until my sweet, dark, caffienated beverage is ready to wake me up. I get breakfast cooked, my better half out the door to the office, and I get busy. My eight-year-old son and three-year-old daughter consume the majority of my day. In between, I fit in school work, job searches, business networking, and now a somewhat feable attempt to make some money by writing.

In my spare time (HA!!), I read fiction novels of an eclectic variety from Harry Potter to Mary Higgins Clark to John MacDonald; I write-blogs, poetry, essays, and short stories; Scrapbook; target shoot handguns, rifles, and shot guns; practice for dove season and deer season, whose opening days should be holidays; learn to build things; and spend time with my family. So it's not a glamorous life, but it's a good one with lots of balance.

To add to the daily endeavors, I was diagnosed with Systemic Degenerative Lupus just after my daughter was born 3 years ago. I am blogging about and trying to write a book about my life with lupus- the trials, the obstacles overcome, things I have found that make it better or worse, and just everyday life- in hopes to make the lives of other lupus patients a little easier until they find a cure.

Follow my journies through motherhood, funding and completing my education, arts and crafts, trying to kick off my editing career, love, and daily life with a chronic disease.
